So excited to watch my toddler watch Disney on Ice next weekend. We've been before, but I am not hesitating to go again. Let me tell you why I love it.
Sometimes you want to enjoy the world of Disney without making a $5,000 trip to Florida. Disney on Ice is an affordable way to have a robust Disney experience that goes beyond the Disney + viewings in your home and gets you right in the midst of their classic stories.
It often stops in NJ. Disney on Ice tours often include NJ stops. Our last trip, we saw the show in Atlantic City. This time around, we are headed to Newark. In such a small state, it’s never that bad of a ride for these epic shows.
The Costumes are BRILLIANT. I am always impressed at the attention to detail when it comes to costuming these skaters. The designers NAIL IT every time.
Add-on Experiences. Disney is offering new special character meet and greets for its recent show. My little guy REALLY ENJOYS meeting costumed characters now-a-days and these characters are pretty top notch. You’re not getting Temu Elsa, you are getting top shelf Elsa! For this show, the add-on experience includes games, crafting and sing-a-longs– and of course, photo ops! Look for “Frozen Fun” Character Experience when purchasing your tickets, but note, you do also need a ticket to the show to enter the experience!
Fun Souvenirs! The merch in the lobby is usually adorably fun. It adds to the whole show experience– and hey, your littles are only young once. Get those light-up wands for your toddlers now before they turn into teenagers who roll their eyes at the idea of a special night out with Mom.
Surprising Special Effects. Snow, confetti cannons, lasers, pyrotechnics– Disney will find a way to add a special zest to the show to give an unexpected smile and additional WOW factor.
Ice Skaters are AMAZING. I can’t do what they do in sneakers, let alone ice skates! Story-telling and production elements aside, the sheer talent you will see on these skates is worth the price of admission alone!
For all these reasons, we are excited to be headed back to Disney on Ice’s newest show “Let’s Dance” next week. We are looking forward to seeing the ice renditions of Frozen 2, Wish, The Lion King, The Little Mermaid & Moana. A little birdie also told me that Donald and Goofy get the party started with a special pre-show experience that I am really jazzed about! I know my little guy and I will be singing along! Showtimes, location and link for tickets below– and we will be sure to follow-up and let you know what we thought of this new on ice experience!!
