Everyone is always looking to do great things in the summer with their kiddos. After all, we have a whole summer vacation to fill with fun and memories! I do have a few preferences of things that I definitely PREFER to do in the Spring and I’ll be getting these on my calendar asap. Check them out below.

Sesame Place. I don’t personally love the idea of doing both a theme park and a water park together in one day. I prefer to just commit to one or the other. For that reason, I like opting for Spring at Sesame Place. Not only do I not need to schlep towels and deal with a wet little one that needs a change of clothes, but I get to skip the crowds! My little one loves the shows and parades here so Spring is a great time for us to visit this park and enjoy cheaper prices and smaller crowds. (Check out our Sesame Place blog here)
Hershey Park. Hershey is a pretty large park and the idea of walking it corner to corner in the heat with all of our accessories is a total no for me. Spring, on the other hand– let’s go! I think jacket/hoodie weather is PERFECT theme park weather. I also won’t feel as bad for the characters dressed as the walking hershey chocolates. They won’t be actually melting in there while they wait for my little guy to actually smile for a picture.
Farms. Flower farms. Animal Farms. Fruit and Veggie farms– don’t we love them all! I certainly love these visits more in the spring as well! Heat tends to make the bugs unbearable, and when it comes to animals, I feel like things get extra smelly in hot temperatures. Farms in the spring are ideal. You are so happy for the fresh air and you can walk that uneven terrain without sweating bullets. I especially love picking tulips at Holland Ridge in the Spring!
Zoos. Zoos easily attract huge crowds all summer long since they are such a perfect classic activity for families with kids of all ages. Spring can be a little tamer as long as it isn’t the first nice day after a huge series of rain. Also, like farms, the heat tends to make things feel a bit smellier for me so I am all about these spring visits! Cape May Zoo is on our list for the coming weeks,
Great Wolf. The best time to go to Great Wolf is during the school year. On school holidays, this place gets PACKED– and naturally because it IS a lot of fun. If you can’t tell from my previous thoughts, I totally prefer a visit with lesser crowds so I’ll opt for a midweek visit in the Spring (but not during spring break) any time! As long as you can break away during the week from regular life– that is the way to do Great Wolf.
