How Do You Like Them Apples?

Want a fabulous fall excursion with the littles?  I got you!  Eastmont Orchards with a side of Delicious Orchards!  Here’s what you do!

Head on over to Eastmont Orchards for some apple picking.  Depending on when you go, there are different varieties of apples available for picking.  They offer free tote bags at the entrance to bag what you pick (remember to pay for every apple your little one picks— so make sure they aren’t picking too many duds!).  The hardest part is making sure you don’t pick TOO many apples— because once your little one gets the hang of it, they’ll be grabbing apples left and right and “you know who” will be lugging them all to the car.

After you picked your fill of apples, walk over to the tractor ride!  The ride is $5 per person (2 and under is free) and you’ll adventure around part of the field to see their incredible hay creations along your route.  You’ll pass piggies, cows and more.  Pro tip, sit on the right side of the tractor to get the best views of the hay creations.  After your tractor ride, bring your treats back to the main area where you can pay for your apples.  While you head over– keep an eye out for our minion friend in the picture above!

Now that you have your fresh apples, you want to head just down the road to Delicious Orchards for lunch and treats!  Order from their outside food counter (or the smoothie bar inside)– but make sure you get their frozen apple cider mixed with Vanilla Ice Cream (it’s ridiculously yummy).  Eat your lunch and treats outside next to the play area by the store so the kids burn off any extra energy.  Before heading home, pop inside Delicious Orchards for any produce or dinner needs– my favorite buys here are the mini bananas, chocolate covered graham crackers, incredible house made pies and the many fresh veggies they always have looking so perfect here.  They also have EXCELLENT apple cider.

Lean into all things Fall and tire those toddlers out! While they have a nap you can turn those many apples into creations of your liking!  When in doubt, peel em, slice em, add some cinnamon and throw them in the crock pot!  Not only is it yummy but your house will smell good too!
