Pic above from Disney Food Blog!
We've been itching for a vacation and every time I think about taking one, Disney pops into my mind. I'm thinking that I may wait until early 2024 when my toddler is closer to 3 years old (but not quite 3 when we go so he can still get in for free!), but regardless, I have already started the online digging and research to wrap my head around the costs and do's and don'ts of such a trip. In this blog, I'm going to share with you two of my favorite resources.
Many of my google searches have led me here. The things that I have loved the most about this blog is 1) their listing of hotel prices based on the dates for all of last year and 2) Their listing of ways to win a FREE vacation (click here)
There are SO MANY pros and cons to weigh when picking where to stay on Disney property-- and the biggest factor for most people is PRICE. Having access to pricing info (while not up-to-date because it was last year, it will at least give you the info to pull together a decent budget) is extremely helpful when hotel shopping. I've googled "pricing for Cars suite at Art of Animation in February" and found this amazing chart! So much better than just plugging in dates manually hotel by hotel.
Then, of course-- there is the sweepstakes page! Who WOULDN'T want to win a free vacation? I like to check back there now and again-- but the best ones that have been shared on this page is from the Disney Vacation Club. Sure, you need to watch a few videos but that is a small price to pay to possibly win a $12,000 (yup that is the value of the package) vacation!
Their youtube channel is my happy place. I've popped it on while having a bad day to stop thinking and stressing about whatever is on my mind and imagine eating Mickey waffles instead. They have LOTS of reviews and info about food in Disney World but they are equally as amazing when it comes to vacation tips. They have videos about hotels, parks tips, times to travel, reservation strategies, you name it! Disney has changed BOATLOADS since I have been, and I feel like I really understand how it works nowadays from their videos. They are extremely thorough and a lot of fun. It'll definitely get you excited about your vacation and inspire you to make some really sharp and smart planning choices.
There are a lot of people who position themselves as Disney experts and TONS of resources out there. I have found that I am enjoying these two the most. Feel free to comment on this blog and add any of your faves-- I'd love to check them out!
