The daily journey with a two year old includes getting them tired enough to take a long nap so Momma can get a lot done during that window. Sometimes we need a little outside assistance with this task-- enter GYMNASTICS!
Gymnastics is a great way to help your toddler improve balance and movement capabilities, socialize with other children, practice following directions, and in the hopes of my husband, is a great first step to building a future athlete!
We just did a free trial of a class at Epic Gymnastics in Manasquan and LOVED it. The class size wasn't too large that we felt overwhelmed, and the mommy and me style is perfect for my little guy who is still getting used to listening to teachers and following directions. I felt like this was a great first step towards formalized learning for us and I plan to onboard more classes and activities like this within the next year. I'm planning on enrolling my boy in pre-school for Fall 2024 (he'll be 3) and wanted to be certain that I really prepared him through experiences like this.
There are lots of great gyms throughout the state. There are even gyms that only focus on the younger age groups-- franchises like The Little Gym and Gymboree are great examples of that. Some dance schools even offer intro acrobatics! You'll likely have several local options so you can select the day and time that works best for your family!
We are thrilled to be learning and playing (and getting tired lol) with Epic. The gym is well kept, the staff as been lovely, and we are looking forward to our next session! My little dude especially loves the balance beam--- but it may take a few weeks for him to enjoy the trampoline!
