Our Toddler's Birthday with Little Rockers

I couldn't wait to write this blog!

Over the weekend we enjoyed our boy's 2nd Birthday Party with the Little Rockers up in Shrewsbury NJ and we loved loved LOVED it.

Between having a small house and a winter baby, we knew we needed an outside venue for a birthday party that would be fun for both toddlers and our older family and friends who would be partying with us. Being extra excited about fun family activities (the entire reason this blog exists!), I did a lot of research. When I remembered meeting the owners of Little Rockers a while back, I went to check out their website and explore if they do birthday parties-- and they sure do!

My little guy LOVES music so using that as a classic party theme for everyone to enjoy was a no-brainer. Our party package at the venue included playtime in their clubhouse area (lots of music toys and even a slide!), a bounce house (worth the extra fee!), a craft, and then a music and dance session with two of the teachers (we were extra lucky to get the owners-- Chris and Jessie for this portion!). The venue EVEN MAKES GOODIE BAGS! What a gift to a busy mom!

Our party guests varied in ages from toddlers to 2nd graders and they all had a total blast. Our hour and a half party flew by. There were about 45 people in our group and the venue is so big that it never felt packed or over crowded. Plenty of room for parents and grandparents to hang out! The kids enjoyed each of the activities, but only the older ones really loved the craft.

This venue is EXTRAORDINARY. The decor is fantastic! I adored the huge mural in the clubhouse room. It is perfectly clean and the vibrant colors and pictures makes it completely unnecessary to add any birthday decorations of your own. It is tucked away in a professional building but the staff adds a folding sign out front so guests know where to turn once in the lot.

The music class portion was expertly designed for young children. We did several different activities during the songs that Jessie and Chris sang to the group and it kept the entire crew captivated and having fun. They constantly cheered for my shy little guy as he followed the games and instructions and I really appreciated that attention to detail. The Little Rockers obviously understand short attention spans and always knew when to switch to the next thing. That sort of instinct comes from EXPERIENCE. I noticed it and every time. Tip top professionals over here!

For food, I brought snacks and drinks and then cupcakes and brownies for dessert. Our party was in the afternoon at 2pm so no meal necessary (and easier for planning purposes!). They purposely do parties like that there. Truly, the kids have so much to do, there isn't any time to eat except for birthday cupcakes at the end.

I can't rave enough about our experience here. Jessie and Chris do a great job with this business. It was worth every penny we spent and now I can't wait to get up there for some Mommy and Me classes! 10 out of 10 for our Little Rockers friends!
