This Class Had us Living in a Pinterest Post

Friends! I am so excited to share with you about our first Painted Pinecone Society experience!

Painted Pinecone Society curates toddler appropriate creative experiences that are unlike ANY CLASS I have ever seen in the area. Yesterday in their class at The Well in Belmar (the Well runs lots of programs for new families including a Montessori Playgroup, mommy and me classes and a variety of workshops) we read together a sweet book about a Mama and Baby Bear and then participated in several activity stations that were all perfectly related to the theme!

The decor and activities were artfully curated out of mostly natural materials and my son loved each set-up! The owner of Painted Pinecone is an artist with an admirable eye for using nature-based items as toys and craft supplies. Every set-up (including a big bear cave!) looked like it could have been a viral pinterest post. The stations were fun and age-appropriate. We used clay to make our own bears, painted paw prints, went "fishing" for Mama Bear's lunch (and you got to feed Mama bear the fish too!), took a mommy and me picture, decorated the frame, played with a nature puzzle and even got to enjoy some of the other toys available in the space. The hour FLEW by and my son happily engaged in all of the activities.

One notably unique part of these classes is that you can sign up for the ones that work for you without committing to every single week. With my work schedule, that was PERFECT for my son and I but now, after completing our first session, I can't wait to attend next week!

This craft and play club was a HIT for us and I hope you get a chance to check it out too! For more info on this class and the other ones coming up like the session at the Herbery at Bear Creek Farm, visit www.paintedpineconesociety,com
